Breaking News: Burns Hargis on the OSU Museum of Art

We were excited recently to host Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis at the Postal Plaza, in downtown Stillwater. In a newly-released video, produced by the OSU Foundation, President Hargis shares his excitement about the Postal Plaza Gallery’s new role as part of the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art.

The opening exhibition at the Postal Plaza will showcase OSU’s permanent art collection—including masterpieces of 19th-century European painting, the region’s most impressive collection of African sculpture, and our unique holdings of mid-century modernism. The exhibition will be accompanied by a full-color catalogue that will document OSU’s collecting history and continue to showcase our collection long after the exhibition closes.

You can help us make history! If you’ve considered giving art to the OSU Museum of Art, there’s no better time to do so than right now—because any gift we accept into the museum collection before the end of 2012 will be listed in the catalogue of our opening exhibition—and may even be featured in the exhibition itself!
