Mini-break for the blog

Followers of this blog may be thinking, hmm, we haven’t heard from the OSU Art Collection in a while now! And you’d be right—thanks to an unusual number of outside commitments and the end of the semester, I decided to take a mini-break from posting. We’ll be back in a couple of weeks!

In the meantime, let me encourage you to:

  • explore our archives — there’s a lot of great writing out there!
  • visit the Postal Plaza Gallery — “Sharing A Journey” is up until May 24, and then the Gallery closes for almost a month while new shows are installed.
  • plan some art this summer: the arts are blossoming in Oklahoma! What are you going to see over the next few months?
  • speaking of summer shows, did you know that OSU Art History graduate students Michelle Rinard and Amy Nies are curating an exhibition of work by Tony Tiger, head of the Art program at Bacone College, this month? See the show at the Gardiner Gallery, May 20-June 4.

We’ll be back with more great student writing about the permanent collection, curatorial activities, and other news before you know it. Thanks for reading!
