***NOTE: Internships at the OSU Museum of Art are currently on hiatus (as of Fall 2013). Please check directly with the museum for information about future internship possibilities.***
Every semester, including during the summer, the OSU Museum of Art has student internships available. Generally offered for 1-3 course credits, depending on the student’s time commitment, internships at the OSU Museum of Art provide training for students interested in gaining administrative experience in an art gallery setting and in working with a permanent art collection.
Interns work with Museum staff on daily Gallery operations, exhibitions, public relations, funding and development, collections research and management, and other projects. Frequently, internship projects are tailored to individual students’ experience and interests. Internships taken for course credit yield an academic outcome such as a paper or report that is due to the instructor of record at the end of the internship period.
